Why is there no news on the morning news shows?

When I turn on the morning news shows, why am I getting entertainment instead of news?? I know, I know, it's all about money; but why is no one complaining?

No one mentions that our president and his cohorts are trying to get us embroiled in a war with Iran; no one does anything but a cursory look at the candidates for president; no one seems too concerned that Katrina victims are still being victimized; no one is doing any follow up on the sorry state of this nation's bridges; and so on.

Instead, we get to hear about Britney Spears and various other obnoxious stars and lots of other coma-inducing fluff pieces that would bore almost anyone to death.

Even the evening news is turning into one giant commercial with a couple of Charles Gibson moments sprinkled in.

Is this really the best we can do? Or worse, is this really all that we want from our news shows??

Consider this my official complaint.

Where Has Common Sense Gone?????

As the oldest child in my family, I know for sure that I am the bossiest. I also think I have the most common sense (although my sister runs a close second). It seem to me that there is less and less common sense floating around this world and every morning my sister and I bitch on the phone about it. I'd like to take this opportunity to have you join me and let some of your frustrations out......

Here are a couple of things we talked about this morning. You can comment on those or send me a question of your own. As the bossiest, I LOVE to give advice, so feel free to ask me about any subject.

1) Nancy Pelosi's extremely poor timing with the Armenian/Turkey thing. Are we going to piss off every single ally we ever had???

2) Hillary Clinton voting to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. Didn't she learn anything last time? Now George can go to work scaring the crap out of everyone by calling them terrorists and get us embroiled in yet another war we cannot win.
